Our team at Florida Building and Land Surveyors has been working on an exciting ongoing project in the Aqua Lane Shores neighborhood of Naples, Florida — a high-end waterfront community known for its luxury homes and direct canal access. This particular job involved providing a construction survey for a new pool being built just a few feet from the canal, which presented some unique challenges that required careful planning and precision.
Because of the close proximity to the waterway, elevation control and setback verification were critical. Our crew had to ensure that the new pool structure-maintained compliance with local regulations while accounting for drainage, canal stabilization, and property boundary alignment. Working in tight waterfront conditions also meant that every stakeout and elevation shot needed to be precise to protect both the structure and the surrounding environment.
This project has been a collaborative effort with the builder from start to finish. We’ve provided multiple phases of surveying — from the initial boundary and topographic survey to construction layout and final as-builts. Now, as we enter the late stages of completion, it’s rewarding to see how everything has come together and how our surveying work helped the project stay on track and within specification.
